The African bullfrog feeds has a diversified diet, feeding upon insects, small fish to small mammals. Basically, anything that fits into its jaws is a potential meal. I've a strong aversion and phobia being in close proximity to insect, let alone touch one. Would it be wise to feed the African bullfrog on a diet consisting of small fishes as a staple food source?
African Bullfrogs should not be fed a staple diet of fish, because fish can be very unhealthy to the frog. Insects should be the staple food source, but you can occasionally feed them fish. Also, you can feed them mice on every occasion.
How do you feel about using birds? I use chicken and quail chicks as a staple for my frogs.
