Burning Incense in the same room as your Viviarium

Is this a wise idea? Before I set up my vivarium and frogs yesterday, I always used to burn incense in my room. I have a habit, and the incense helps to cover that up. Besides that, I quite like the smell of a burning incense stick. However, I can find much on google about this, is it ok to burn an incense in the same room as a Vivarium as long as there is a fan going and the window open?

LOL!!!! Now that is funny - i would go with not the best idea to burn in the same room though. i know i don't, and i too burn away....ehhm, the incense

Although I have no professional or specific knowledge on this subject. It seems that incense shouldn't be any worse than febreeze or any other chemical that may find its way into the air of your room/home. Seems like moderation may be the key....with incense. I can't imagine that once a month would be harmful but three incense sticks a day might me detrimental to his health. Good Luck

Glade air fresheners and other related items are harmful to a frog. That’s why I stay clear of those. However, my mom is also an “incense hound” lol (they help soothe her migraines) and she has on occasion burned some in the same room as my frogs. But the room was open and had good air circulation. I have also burned candles in the same room as my frogs. During the times in which these items were burned, my frogs were fine.

As long as the room is well ventilated, you don’t burn a lot as Motob3000 said, and you monitor your frogs during the first incense uses, I believe you are safe. My frogs were .

in the room where my frogs are I burn them once in awhile and I have not seen any issues with the frogs. The room is well ventilated and on the other side of the room where the incense are burning.

I'm kinda concerned about the effect this odour producing 'habit' has on your frog. If your habit is participating in chili eating contests and the resulting aftermath, no problem. If it's something less legal that you practice near your frog...hmm.

I would like to mention first that I have no judgment against anyone for any habits they may have.
But... I really believe that exposing any animal or human, who can not make the decision for themselves to leave the room, to incense, air-freshener, cigarette smoke, perfume, etc. is inhumane.
And yes, I do include air-freshener and perfume in this category as I believe most are very caustic.
