Hi there,
I don't have any frogs at present, but have been thinking about getting some. I'm currently mulling the long-term logistics, and about breeding flightless fruit flies as a food source. There's one pet store here in Taipei that I know sells such flies, but I wouldn't want to become dependent on one seller, so I was hoping to culture my own. I've looked at the care sheets for culturing, and it all looks very feasible, except ...
... all the recipes I've seen include dried potato flakes. Bizarre as it may sound to those of you in the West, I can't seem to find any dried potato mash in the supermarkets here, so I'm wondering if anyone has a mix that doesn't include potato flakes, or at least a best guess as to a suitable alternative. Flour, cornflakes, breadcrumbs ... any ideas, suggestions, or, better yet, tried and tested recipes?
Thanks!
This might have some options for u.
