I read that male bullfrogs grow larger than females, but from my understanding with frogs is that females are the larger ones. I am confused which one grows larger.

thanks, since I am about to get a african bullfrog, how do you get these frogs in the 8 to 10 inch range? It says they can be from 4.5 inch to 10 inches, but what is the reason that they vary so much in size?
Honestly i have never seen a GIANT pixie frog full grown at 4.5 inches i think i might just be impossible unless maybe malnourished maybe they are talking about dwarf pixies cause i have a dwarf M/pixie and he is just about full grown at 5 inches but hey a little research from google this site and many other sites might just help.![]()
So if I feed and maintain a pyxie properly it won't get that small?

Pyxie Frogs are the exception to the rule that female frogs are larger than males. Female Pyxies usually are between 5" to 7" usually hover around 6" though and males have the potential to reach 10", but most only hit 8" or 9" in captivity. A few have hit the 10" Mark though.
Alright thanks, so only the males in pyxies are larger. But in every other frog species the female are larger correct?
