I've seen bright orange pac-man frogs labeled as strawberry-pineapple online (Underground Reptiles) and in a reptile store. They look like apricot albinos to me. Are they the same mutation or different? I thought that maybe the strawberry-pineapple were a combo of strawberry and pineapple or just another name for apricot.
Mmm...fruity frogs...![]()
A while back, I ordered a "strawberry pineapple" and an "apricot" from an online supplier. They have since been rehomed, but there was a little difference between the two of them On the other hand, all color morphs have some variation so I don't know. Here's a picture I took of the two of them before they were rehomed. They were around 2" or a little smaller then so I don't know how they turned out. The strawberry pineapple is on the left; apricot on the right.

Strawberry pineapples have some yellow in them as babies. The color usually fades and they look like the strawberrys as adults

I have a strawberry pineapple. He's still young, but so far his red is still very red and his yellow is still very yellow. I'll keep you posted on how he turns out!
(he could turn brown for all I care, I love him just the same! Little cutie!)
Thank you for the replies! I was curious because my boyfriend bought a strawberry/pineapple, and the frog is neon orange! I think I've seen apricots before and they seemed not quite as orange. But we'll see how it turns out.
I don't have any pix of it yet, but if I get any, I'll be sure to post 'em!
