Default are there different varieties of white's tree frogs?

Im a new frog owner, and this is my first post. I have a Whites tree frog in a ten gallon tank. He seems kind of lonely, but it seems that all the frogs are poisonous to each other, unless they're the same species. I heard that there are different types of Whites tree frogs, or morphs . I was wandering what is the best and least expensive morph to go with my Frog. Also he's lost around half his bodyweight, is that natural?.
    All advice is needed! Thanks!

    Hi daboing,
    Welcome to Frog Forum

I don’t keep “Whites”. But I will give this a shot. Hopefully someone else will chime in .

I would have to say that I have seen/read of four different species be referred to as “Whites” tree frogs.
    1) Australian green tree frog, or White's tree frog, dumpy tree frog (Litoria caerulea)
To make maters more confusing there is a “blue phase morph”
    2) Magnificent Tree Frog or Splendid Tree Frog (Litoria splendida)
    3) Australian white-lipped tree frog (Litoria infrafrenata) - much more slender
    4) Asian white-lipped tree frog (Polypedates leucomystax )

Some confusion is a result of the Whites and the Magnificent looking very similar when they are sub adults prior to the Magnificent developing very large raised, glandular area (parotid gland) behind their eyes. I would have to assume all of their colors can change depending on the temperature and background. Australian ‘Whites’ are the most commonly found in the pet trade.

So, you simply need to identify your frog and then get the same species ( of similar size) to go in the enclosure with it.

    Hope this helps
