Default Disinfecting former fish tank for frog

My friend gave me tank that used to have their betta in it. It's a small glass tank with a removable top that I've seen people keep baby frogs in before. I wanted to use it for my grey tree froglet but I have a few concerns. Apparently the fish passed away in the tank, can I fully sanitize despite this? I have already soaked the tank in diluted bleach once, planning to do it a few more times if it is not harmful. Is there anything else I should do? Suggestions appreciated

I have something called "Wipe Out" terrarium cleaner by Zoo med, would this be safe for use with frogs?

Soaking in 1 cup bleach/1 gal. water overnight should do it. Empty rinse well and refill with tap, then add 10X de-chlorinator dose, empty, air dry, and you are done. What size tank and what size GT froglet are we talking about? Thank you !
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

    Thanks for the info!
Would filling it with spring water instead of dechlorinated tap work as well? And it is a very small, probably an inch or less long. The tank is maybe 1-2 gallons, larger than the kritter keeper he is currently in. It'll be temporary (planning to put him into an 8x8x12 exo terra, then a 12x12x18 as he grows)

Missed the "Wipe Out;" yes can use it if rinsed well afterward. You can fill with spring but will need to rinse many times if not using a strong 10X dechlorinator solution to detox any possible remaining bleach. Unless you have all those enclosures on hand; it's cheaper to go ahead and invest in the size that will hold the number of adults you plan to keep. Good info on Greys in here: http://Gray Tree Frog Care and Breeding . Good luck !

Ok, I will use the 10x dechlorinator then, thanks for the suggestion!
I have a few tanks extra from my rhacodactylus geckos, and plan on keeping one (for now...we'll see how long that lasts haha).

    Thanks again!

Hmm, so I bleached three times and rinsed countless times and the tank still smells like fish medicine (friend used it to treat the betta, it's the type you drop into the water). Is there anything I can do to get rid of the smell?

Do you know what medication your friend used? I've been keeping fish for over 5 decades and never seen a "smelly fish medicine" that had a strong smell after mixing in tank; much less one with such persistent odor characteristics. Some do smell for awhile (i.e. Melafix) but nothing that remains after a water change or removal with carbon. Are you sure what you small is a fish medicine and not something else ?

It was something called maracide. But I think now I may have smelled something else. They gave me the medicine and it smells like play dough.
But, I used the Wipe Out and it doesn't smell anymore.
