If it is water and fish safe it's ok

I know many people use Great Stuff: pond and stone
There's also Beckett Waterfall Foam and Aquascape Waterfall Foam

I think these are all US brands but i don't know, maybey they sell it in the UK

    Default Which expanding foam?

If it is polyurethane expanding foam, it will be safe as long as it is not a "fire retardant" version. Those have nasty polymers in them that you do not want in your tank.

The stuff I mentioned above doesn't say anything about fire retardent and states safe for fish and pondlife, so sounds ok
