He's got arms and legs and he's zipping around my aquarium like crazy! I got him as a present from my dad for my birthday and I didn't expect him to change so quick, but it's okayt I have another aquarium to use for half land half water it's just when do I move him? his mouth is forming already! Will he drown if I leave him in the tank overnight? his moth is still shaped like those suckers they had when they're tads but it looks a little different. He's still got a tail! I am just so worried! PLEASE HELP ME AND BULLY!
THANK YOU ALL
I don't have much experience with tads, but I was watching a friend's pets while she was on vacation for two weeks, and her tad in an aquarium fully gained its legs while I was taking care of them, so I moved it to a tank of half land, half water, and within just a few days the tail was completely gone. As far as the mouth goes...I paid no attention at all. I was focused on the legs.Maybe someone else could provide a better answer.

Place something in the water for it to climb out on. I like styroform produce trays inverted. They make great floating islands.
Hey there, Flippy Skadoo here-
Being an expert in raising tadpoles and freshwater fish, I would like to guide you in some tadpole-fishtank best practices:
#1: Your frog will not drown he will swim to the surface to breathe. Frogs can float just fine. Anyone who tells you differently obviously doesn't know what they're talking about and probably have 0 experience raising tadpoles to frogs in a fishtank.
#2 Tadpoles can stay tadpoles and breathe water for an extended period of time if they are not near land. Therefore if you leave your tadpole inside the tank it will take longer for him to turn into a frog.
#3 Finally adding some kind of dispenser to the top of your tank could work as a hangout spot for the frog. Make sure you're feeding him enough and he should be fine. Although there have been cases where frogs due jump out of the tank so make sure there is an enclosure.
I hope that answered all your questions. Once again, Flippy Skadoo I know my tadpoles.
Best,
Flippy
Hey Flippy, I don't mean to be discouraging but it's been two and a half years since the original post, I think we can probably assume it's not a tadpole anymore since it had arms and legs at that point
I'm sure there are many recent threads where people would appreciate your experience,
