Hello,
Here is a couple of pictures of my frogs.
These photos where taken a couple of days after I got them.
Im dont take a lot of photos of my frogs as they simply dont like it.
Both of them are kept in an exo terra 90 x 45 x 90cm
As you can see 2 large Pothos plants and a couple of others at the base including ivy and fern.
The soil is biolife forrest and drainage which holds a good colony of springtails.
The water pool to the left is filtered and im looking at hydroponics stuff to put together a rainy season once a year.
My temps are around 22-23c in evening and 27-28c by day.
My humidity is around 60-70 and rises in the evening when lights are out.
The lights are on 11 hours a day and will drop in winter.
Lighting is exo terra dessert x 4, 10%UV
I was feeding crickets, but started feeding 5-9mm dubia roaches which I find easier to feed and from what I hear they are better than crickets if your frogs do take them.
Here is some of them if you can make them out in the feeding tub at base of the viv.
And here is a freshly molted sub adult roach as per the other thread, they look cracking after a molt in white but turn normal colour quite quickly.
I currently have about 140 young roaches and 30 adults ready to be separated and put into breeding groups.
This is the vivarium displaying night mode
One of the Pothos before it went in to the setup, cracking for arboreal...
Any suggestions?
Really nice set up and your frogs will enjoy the space! You totally need some bromeliads in that background thoughI need to get round to breeding roaches myself they're far too expensive in the pet shops.
Nice plants, nice setup all around!
Thanks guys for the comments. Im considering adding a bromeliad in. Im finding these guys prefer roaches to crickets, far safer and cant breed in your home. I dont want to over stock but how many can be housed in this setup?
I was looking to get a couple more but from a different supplier incase they breed eventually.
These are the best pics I could get tonight, dont want to disturb them to much....
Roll on getting a decent camera.
