Hello everyone.![]()
I would appreciate EXPERIENCED answers for this please! Google gives too many different answers and Id love to hear from pet owners.
Short story, my whites, Mud, passed away this morning and I am beyond heartbroken. He lived happily with me for 3 years and I found him this morning. I adopted him from a kindergarden classroom so I have no idea how old he was.
I am, of course, wondering if I could have done anything better. Google says they could live up to 20 years old but everywhere else I go to says 10 is the even age.
I just need to know I took care of him well and made his final years the best. So if anyone can tell me how long their whites lived I may be able to get a better idea of how old Mud was.
Sorry for the vent, I just lost a friend today and im devistated. Thank you all soo much for the help and advise. ♡
I'm sorry I dread the day mine go. Did you notice anything that would indicate it was sick or going down hill? I've always hoped for 10 yrs +

Thank you so much. It's really killing me. He was my first frog so I don't know the signs too well but he seemed normal like always. What were some things, obvious and not, that would have indicated sickness of anykind? Thank you and tell your babies you love them extra much today, they are so precious. ♡
I'm not 100% sure on how long they live either...I seen some websites say 15 (well...from what I saw on the websites I visited anyways.)...My first whites tree frog Chaos (he was a escape-artist btw) lived with me for about six or seven years (might be wrong on the amount of years...it was somewhere around there.) though...I'm not really sure how old he was as the only indication to his age that the store gave to me was that he was already a adult frog. (I miss him...he loved sleeping on my shoulder. ^^u)
Thank you for sharing, and I am so sorry about Chaos. ♡ Im sure you made him very happy! If you dont mind me asking, how did you find out he passed? Was it sudden? Asking because that sounds similar to my Mud. Maybe 6-7 years old.
29 years old seems to be the world record age for this frog. 10-15 seems about standard. I'm sorry your frog died early but sometimes there's no way to tell if a frog is ill or not.
