Releasing young spring peepers
I've raised some spring peepers from eggs and am wondering how close to winter is too late to release them. They are native to my state and are being released where they were obtained. If I'm releasing them just to die then I guess I'd rather feed to one of my other pets(specifically the snake or turtles.)

They could potentially be poisonous in kill your snake or turtle. Where did you acquire the spring peepers from? What state?

I got the eggs from a ditch in front of the house, they are native.

Re: Releasing young spring peepers
The first 30 are released. I already have 6 more that have turned froglet since. 98 more to go. It's supposed to be a high in the 80's here for at least the next 2 weeks so I think they may just have a little time before winter. Also, I'm trying to give them a little boost with springtails and fruit flies so that should help some.
