After reading on here I started feeding my pacman night crawlers. He absolutely loves them. I would love to make it a staple along with dubia roaches. I remove all the dirt off the worms before feeding. I use hemostats to drop the worm in front of the pacman. The wet sticky worms end up getting covered in cocco coir while he is eating them. Im useing the fine coco coir. Do I have to worry about impaction? I really dont want to remove him for feeding and stress him out.Thanx
I feed my frog on a plate, just a flat platform I place in front of him. I don't think the coco fiber is a major concern but I'd rather not take the chance.
After reading that nightcrawlers are really nutritious I'm considering using them as stable for my Pyxie.
Sorry I don't have any pics. But it's nothing too complex.
My frogs love the night crawlers. I am still wondering how many to feed. I've been feeding 1 daily. My frogs are all about the size of a half dollar. I've been feeding them one a day.![]()
I usually feed mine until it stops eating then wait a day then do it again. Mine is about the same size and he takes down like, 3 at a time!
I was told the ones from walmart in the little tubs were safe. I got the medium ones, but it takes a long time for Lump to swallow them. Should they be smaller? There's a picture if his size in my album.
If anything, mine is a tad bit bigger, but i wouldn't worry about it. If it takes him a minuet to get it all down that's fine, but if he's there for like, 5-10 mins and still don't have a night-crawler down, then you may want to consider a smaller size.
Thanks Bruce
The information was very helpful.
