Ok I am admittedly OCD about germs and cleanliness, therefore I clean a LOT!! My question is with 3 frogs I'm wondering what is safe to have in the air with them. I use a lot of vinegar, it that safe? Or can someone point me toward an all purpose cleaner that is safe to use around them. Thanks in advance.

I think that vinegar is safe.. Once someone on here recommended that I use vinegar to remove the chemical deposits on the side of my tank.
Vinegar is safe.
I put my vinigar/water in a squirt bottle so I can clean their bowls without having to remove them. I mop the house with bleach water, and I've heard that carpet stuff can kill them because it becomes air borne. Anything arisol is bad, Ive turned to insence fir the room. But smoke us also bad. I think oxyclean is alright---it doesn't really smell. it would work fir mopping and scrubbing in kitchen--- I try to use magic eraser more than most.
is CLR a safe product to use on an empty tank? assuming you thoroughly wash it out before housing pets in the tank.. im looking for a very powerful declacifying agent to remove hard water stains from some tanks that i acquired off of craigslist.
I think your safer with the CLR. As I've heard of this being used, I think it was on 50 gal build by clownonfire. That compound would leave a residue on the tank right, like your buffing away flaws and bonding the compound into the glass, I would just do the outside. Try a magic eraser, it removes 50 year old gummy stuff that gathers on antiques, where I'd used everyhibg in the house to get it off.
car polishing compounds are just liquid high abrasive compounds, they dont leave residues that i know of, unlike a car wax or car glaze.
where can i find magic erasers? and what sort of chemicals are in those?
Sir Thank you very much for giving us such an important information.
